WRABF BR25 25m Rifle target
The air rifle card of the world and European rimfire and air rifle benchrest federations, shot from the bench by the Light Rifle and Heavy Rifle classes: 25 record bulls in 20 minutes, three cards to a class. An X needs the plug to obliterate the central 10 dot, and a hit in a bull’s box that misses every ring still scores 4.

How it is shot
Rifle classes · Championships · Course · Sighters · Gauging · Misses and extras · Ties
- Rifle classes
- Light Rifle air rifles: at most 4.79 kg with sights and 12 ft-lb (16.27 J). Heavy Rifle air rifles: at most 6.831 kg with all attachments and 20 ft-lb (27.12 J). Both: .177, .20 or .22, lead pellets or slugs only.WRABF rule B.6
- Championships
- At the World Championship, Light Rifle and Heavy Rifle air rifle are mandatory events, three cards each, shot before any rimfire class; the day-by-day order, which depends on entries, is only a suggestion.WRABF rule D.2
- Course
- A card is one match: 25 record bulls, one shot each, in 20 minutes, with any number of sighting shots into the sighter bulls; a class is three cards shot the same day, with bench rotation.WRABF rules B.4, B.5, D.3 and Appendix E
- Sighters
- If the first shot on the paper hits a record box by mistake, the shooter must tell the Range Officer before firing again; the shot is then not counted and costs no penalty. This is allowed once per match.WRABF rule C.8f and Appendix E
- Gauging
- Shots too close to call by eye are plugged with a certified .224 in plug, for air rifle as for rimfire. A plug touching the 10 dot scores 10; a 10X needs the whole dot obliterated. Championship cards are scored electronically.WRABF rule C.8 (8a and 8c)
- Misses and extras
- A shot in a bull’s box that misses its largest ring scores 4. If a box holds more than one shot, only the lowest score counts, less 1 point. A perfect card is 250 with 25 X.WRABF rules C.8a and C.8d
- Ties
- Tied cards are broken by the X count, then by the first miss: counting from bull 1, the first bull that is not a 10; if all are 10s, the first that is not an X.WRABF rules C.8g and C.9a

Training on paper? Photograph a card and the Shooter app finds the holes and scores them by these rings: every shot, your inner tens, the series total, your group’s size and centre. Holes merged? Add, move or remove a shot. Every card joins your training log, so drift shows up over time.
Scored with AI for now, which needs internet and your permission to upload the photo to an AI service in the US. Some AI scans may be free while we collect photos of this target; then each uses an AI credit (sold in packs in the app). Scoring by hand is free.
