WRABF BR50 50m Rifle target
The rimfire card of the world and European rimfire and air rifle benchrest federations: the International Sporter, Light Rifle and Heavy Rifle classes shoot three each at a championship. One card is a match of 25 record bulls in 20 minutes, with unlimited sighters, and ties go to the X count, then to the first bull that is not a ten. The same card is also used as the RBA Benchrest Rifle (RBA, Australia).

How it is shot
Sighters · Time · Classes · Sporter rifle · Wrong bull · Scoring · Gauging · Ties
- Sighters
- Each card has 25 record bulls, plus sighter bulls to their left and right; any number of sighting shots may be fired into the sighter bulls.WRABF Appendix E
- Time
- The 25 bulls of a card are shot in at most 20 minutes, and every competitor must finish in time, without exception. A class is three cards shot on the same day, with bench rotation.WRABF rules B.4 and D.3
- Classes
- At World and European championships the rimfire classes, International Sporter, Light Rifle and Heavy Rifle, each shoot three of these cards; the 50 m Unlimited air rifle class shoots on the same card.WRABF rules B.6 and D.2
- Sporter rifle
- In International Sporter the rifle weighs at most 8½ lb (3.855 kg, plus a 28 g allowance) with its scope; barrel weights, tuners, stabilisers and other barrel attachments are banned, and a variable scope is taped at no more than 12×.WRABF rule B.6 (a)
- Wrong bull
- If the first shot on the paper hits a record bull by mistake, the shooter tells the Range Officer before firing again; the shot is then not counted and costs no penalty. This is allowed once per match.WRABF rule C.8f and Appendix E
- Scoring
- Scoring is best edge: a hole touching the next ring’s line scores the higher ring, and one touching the X ring scores an X. A shot in a bull’s box but outside its largest ring scores 4. A perfect card is 250 with 25 X.WRABF rule C.8a
- Gauging
- Shots too close to call by eye are checked with a certified .224 in plug, the same for rimfire and air rifle, and marked “P”; a plugged bull cannot be re-plugged in a score query. Championship cards are scored electronically.WRABF rule C.8c
- Ties
- Tied cards are decided by the X count, then by “first miss”: counting from bull 1, the first bull that is not a 10. If still tied, the first bull that is not an X decides.WRABF rules C.8g and C.9a

Scan offline or with AI

Training on paper? Photograph a card and the Shooter app finds the holes and scores them by these rings: every shot, your X count, the series total, your group’s size and centre. Holes merged? Add, move or remove a shot. Every card joins your training log, so drift shows up over time.
Scored with AI for now, which needs internet and your permission to upload the photo to an AI service in the US. Some AI scans may be free while we collect photos of this target; then each uses an AI credit (sold in packs in the app). Scoring by hand is free.
