DGI 15m Rifle target

The M 84 is DGI's .22 rifle card for the winter season, October to March. Most classes shoot it standing with a rifle rest or elbow support, 20 shots in 30 minutes, and it is one of the two DGI ring cards scored outward: a hit touching a ring line takes the lower value.

Course
The class programme is 20 counting shots in 30 minutes, sighting shots included; any number of sighters may be fired before the counting shots.DGI chapter 3 C.1
Positions
Children shoot standing with a rifle rest and elbow support; juniors, Åben and Senior standing with a rest or with elbow support; the Stilling classes standing free; Fri in any approved position. A sling is allowed when no rest is used.DGI chapter 3 A and C.1
Final
At the DGI Danish championship, children, juniors and the Stilling, Åben and Senior groups shoot a 10-shot final in tenths after the main and championship shoots, if they reach a set total: 5 shots in 5 minutes, then 5 single shots of 45 seconds.DGI chapter 12 A1 c
Season
DGI splits the year into two seasons: 15 m is shot in the winter period, 1 October to 31 March; 25, 50, 200 and 300 m in the summer period, 1 April to 30 September.DGI chapter 2, § 2 d
Assistance
Within the shooting time, children, juniors, Fri and Senior shooters may be helped with changing cards and adjusting their sights.DGI chapter 4, § 4 Hjælp til skytter
Gauging
The M 84 is scored outward: a hit whose gauge touches a ring line takes the lower value. A hit outside the drawing scores 0, so one touching the outermost line does too. The lowest scoring value is 6.DGI chapter 3 C.1; chapter 4, § 7 Skivebedømmelse; chapter 10, § 1
Gauge and decimals
Cards are checked with an approved .22 gauge; no gauge is used with electronic scoring or an automatic scoring machine. At special competitions shots are scored in tenths, 8.0 to 8.9 for an 8.DGI chapter 4, § 7 Skivebedømmelse
Ties
Results are written with the X-10s after a slash, 148/8. Ties go to the most X-10s, then 10s, 9s and so on over the whole shoot; at 15 m on electronic targets, then to the better last shot, the one before, and so on.DGI chapter 4, § 10 a Indrangering ved pointlighed

Scan offline or with AI

The Shooter app's scan screen, shown with an ISSF 10m Air Pistol card: each shot marked, the score, and the size and centre of the group

Training on paper? Photograph a card and the Shooter app finds the holes and scores them by these rings: every shot, your inner tens, the series total, your group’s size and centre. Holes merged? Add, move or remove a shot. Every card joins your training log, so drift shows up over time.

Scored with AI for now, which needs internet and your permission to upload the photo to an AI service in the US. Some AI scans may be free while we collect photos of this target; then each uses an AI credit (sold in packs in the app). Scoring by hand is free.
