NBIF 10m Air Rifle target
This is workplace sport's own air-rifle card, shot standing in NBIF meets beside the ISSF card, with a classification of its own: the top class needs a higher average here than on the ISSF card. No shooting suit is needed, and on the cut-down version without outer rings, a hit outside the last ring still scores two when scored by hand. The same card is also used as the KB 10m Air Rifle (Kyffhäuser) (KB, Germany).

How it is shot
Card choice · Classes · Time · Equipment · Final · Ties, inner ten
- Card choice
- For classification, 10 m air rifle may be shot on the NBIF card or the ISSF/NSF card. On electronic targets the organiser picks the aiming mark, posts the choice at the range, and may not mix 10 m rifle aiming marks on one target type.NBIF Aktivitets-reglement §§ 3.1 and 6.4.3
- Classes
- There are seven classes, and newcomers start in class 1. A class is set by the average shot value of the five best results at approved meets last season, separately for bedrift and ISSF/NSF cards: class 7 needs 9.700 here, 9.500 on the ISSF card.NBIF Klassifiserings-reglement §§ 3, 4, 5 and 5.1
- Time
- Each bull takes one shot, each card five. Sighters included, 30 shots take 50 minutes on target carriers or 45 on electronic targets, 60 shots 90 or 80; with manual card changes, two 5-minute sighting cards, then 6 minutes per five-shot series.NBIF Aktivitets-reglement §§ 6.2 and 6.3
- Equipment
- No shooting suit or special shoes are needed, but stiffened footwear such as safety or ski boots is banned. A sling is not allowed standing, and rifles may carry diopter sights only.NBIF Aktivitets-reglement §§ 4, 4.1 and 4.3
- Final
- A final, where held, is either 10 more shots scored in tenths and added to the main score, or a knockout final of eight that starts from zero, at 50 seconds a shot.NBIF Aktivitets-reglement § 5.3
- Ties, inner ten
- On paper the organiser may break ties by inner tens first or by the last series counting back. By hand a shot is an inner ten when the gauge covers the ten; a machine needs 10.6 on the bedrift card, 10.2 on the ISSF.NBIF Aktivitets-reglement § 7.1

The card
- Cut-down cards
- NBIF rifle cards come full-size, showing every value, or without the outer rings, as 14 × 14 cm or strip cards. Scored by hand, a hit outside the last ring of a cut-down card scores 2; a scoring machine gives its real value.NBIF Aktivitets-reglement § 7.2

Training on paper? Photograph a card and the Shooter app finds the holes and scores them by these rings: every shot, your inner tens, the series total, your group’s size and centre. Holes merged? Add, move or remove a shot. Every card joins your training log, so drift shows up over time.
Scored with AI for now, which needs internet and your permission to upload the photo to an AI service in the US. Some AI scans may be free while we collect photos of this target; then each uses an AI credit (sold in packs in the app). Scoring by hand is free.
