NRA A-33 100yd Rifle target

The A-33 is the ISSF 300 m target reduced for NRA Metric Prone, ten shots to a bull: a 40- or 60-shot match of its own and the longer half of the metric Dewar course. With no X ring, ties go to centre shots, and F-Class smallbore shooters are advised to use it when shooting prone alongside target rifles.

Course · Dewar course · F-Class · Centre shots · Aggregate ties · Scoring overlay · Excess shots
Course
Metric Prone at 100 yd is 40 or 60 shots, or 20 in the short form, ten to a bull, at one minute per record shot; targets are customarily changed after each 20 shots.NRA rules 7.1, 7.4, 7.4.1 and 8.2(b)
Dewar course
The metric Dewar course is 20 shots on the A-51 at 50 yd or the A-50 at 50 m, and 20 on this card.NRA rules 7.4 and 17.5(g)(1)
F-Class
The F-Class smallbore rules recommend this card and the A-50/A-51 when F-Class rifles shoot conventional or metric prone alongside target rifles.NRA F-Class Smallbore rule 4, note
Centre shots
With no X ring, ties go first to centre shots: holes inside the ten ring whose .22 plug gauge or overlay flange does not touch the ring's outside edge.NRA rule 14.3(f)(4)
Aggregate ties
In prone aggregates, ties still level on centre shots go to the total on all 100 yd cards (A-25 or A-33), then centre shots at 100 yd, then the bulls in reverse order.NRA rule 15.7.1(b)
Scoring overlay
Where groups of two or more shots, or holes joined by a tear, partly obliterate the 10 and, in some cases, the 9 ring of an outdoor card, scorers value them with the NRA Smallbore Rifle Scoring aid overlay, not a plug gauge.NRA rule 14.3(d)
Excess shots
Excess shots on a card are penalised: only the required number of lowest-value hits count, less a point for each extra hit. A shooter who notices should fire correspondingly fewer shots on the following bulls of that card.NRA rule 14.7(a)

Training on paper? Photograph a card and the Shooter app finds the holes and scores them by these rings: every shot, the series total, your group’s size and centre. Holes merged? Add, move or remove a shot. Every card joins your training log, so drift shows up over time.

Scored with AI for now, which needs internet and your permission to upload the photo to an AI service in the US. Some AI scans may be free while we collect photos of this target; then each uses an AI credit (sold in packs in the app). Scoring by hand is free.
