BDS 100m Rifle (Z1) target
The BDS-100m-Scheibe carries precision and time-series events for match, hunting, scoped service and scoped self-loading rifles — and, despite its name, many 50 m events for pistol-calibre and smallbore rifles. Hunting rifles shoot it standing, the rifle leaned against a fixed post. The same card is also used as the BDMP Nr.1 100m Rifle (BDMP, Germany) and the BDS Nr.1 100m Rifle (BDS, Germany).

BDMP proficiency badges
The BDMP awards its badge only to shooters who have met their sporting and financial obligations to the federation. Its rules also set levels for PPC 1500, the Bianchi Cup and long-range rifle from 300 to 800 m. Every claim is checked against the match’s result list before it reaches the federal office, and each pin comes with a certificate signed by the BDMP’s president.
Shot at BDMP competitions only — the German and Landes championships, and supra-regional matches with at least 8 shooters from 3 clubs (SLGs) — by members of the BDMP and of friendly federations; one badge per weapon type per competition.

How it is shot
Precision · Card changes · Time series · Positions · Hunting rifle · Distance · Gauging and ties
- Precision
- At 100 m, district championships shoot 15 precision shots in 15 minutes, state championships two series of 10 and the German championship three, each series in 10 minutes. Any number of sighting shots may be fired in 5 minutes beforehand.BDS L 2.04 and L 2.06
- Card changes
- Without electronic scoring, one card takes all 10 shots of a series where optical sights are allowed, while Matchsportgewehr shooters change the card after every 5 shots, the change counting within the 10 minutes.BDS L 2.07
- Time series
- The time series at state and German championships: 30 shots in six series of 5, two each in 40, 30 and 20 seconds. Before "Feuer" and after "Stopp" the rifle is at least 15 cm off the shoulder, barrel at least 20° off line.BDS L 3.03 and L 3.04
- Positions
- Prone unsupported (liegend freihändig): both hands and one shoulder hold the rifle, the supporting hand 10 cm or more off the ground. Shooters 55 or over at the start of the sport year may sit on a backless chair instead, where the range permits.BDS L 14.08.1
- Hunting rifle
- The hunting-rifle events (up to and over 6.4 mm) are shot standing, the rifle leaned against a vertical post fixed top and bottom, the forward hand joining post and rifle; no other support, not even the rifle on the stretched forearm.BDS L 2.02 and L 14.08.4
- Distance
- For practice and club championships, 100 m events may be shot at 50 m where the range approval allows; as a competition, that needs the scaled-down ISSF 50 m card (Z3) in place of this one.BDS L 1.19
- Gauging and ties
- A shot scores the higher ring when it visibly touches the dividing circle; in doubt, transparent calibre overlays issued or approved by a recognised shooting federation may be used. Ties go to the most 10s, then inner tens, then 9s, 8s, 7s and so on.BDS A 9.02 and A 9.03

Training on paper? Photograph a card and the Shooter app finds the holes and scores them by these rings: every shot, your inner tens, the series total, your group’s size and centre. Holes merged? Add, move or remove a shot. Every card joins your training log, so drift shows up over time.
Scored with AI for now, which needs internet and your permission to upload the photo to an AI service in the US. Some AI scans may be free while we collect photos of this target; then each uses an AI credit (sold in packs in the app). Scoring by hand is free.
