BDS ISSF 100m Rifle target
At this distance the BDS shoots its service-rifle events on this card: bolt-action and semi-automatic service rifles of models introduced by 1965, lever actions and semi-automatic sport rifles with iron sights, all prone. Besides precision it carries timed five-shot series of 40, 30 and 20 seconds, and ten shots in 40 seconds with a magazine change. The same card is also used as the DSB Nr.4 100m Rifle (DSB, Germany) and the MLAIC 100m Rifle (MLAIC).

Leistungsabzeichen des BDMP
BDMP proficiency badges
The BDMP awards its badge only to shooters who have met their sporting and financial obligations to the federation. Its rules also set levels for PPC 1500, the Bianchi Cup and long-range rifle from 300 to 800 m. Every claim is checked against the match’s result list before it reaches the federal office, and each pin comes with a certificate signed by the BDMP’s president.
Shot at BDMP competitions only — the German and Landes championships, and supra-regional matches with at least 8 shooters from 3 clubs (SLGs) — by members of the BDMP and of friendly federations; one badge per weapon type per competition.

Leistungs- und Meisterschützenabzeichen des DSB
DSB proficiency and master marksman badges
The DSB gives its performance badges each year to reward results and to encourage shooting for performance. A badge result can also count as the coordination test of the German Sports Badge (Deutsches Sportabzeichen) the same year. Clubs order the badges on a form at the end of each quarter, through their district, from their state association; in 2026 a small badge cost €4.00, a large one €4.50 and the master marksman badge €6.50.
Age classes go by the age reached in the calendar year, the DSB’s sport year.

- Rings in one match of the shots given, at a club shooting day or any DSB competition, announced to the range officer before the start and shot under supervision; one condition a day, no second try that day.
- The small badge takes the score once; the large badge, after the small one of the same colour, five times within a year.
- Only DSB-approved cards count.
- Female juniors take 5 rings off the junior numbers, as the table’s footnote says (worked out in the Junioren weiblich table); a class with no number may shoot the next stronger class’s.
- 25m Pistole and Zentralfeuerpistole shoot half their shots on the duel card, Nr. 10, and so do the 40-shot large-bore events.
- Vorderlader from 18, with no numbers for Herren and Damen V.

Schießauszeichnungen des KB
KB shooting awards
The KB’s awards share one design in every weapon type but the English Match, and are told apart by size, colour and inscription. Its Schießsportordnung doubles as the shooter’s record book, in which the club’s shooting officer signs off each award with its score and date. Claims are checked by the district shooting officer and passed on to the state’s; an award won against the rules is withdrawn. The Silbernes Gewehr was first awarded for the 1967 season.
Classes go by the age reached in the calendar year: Schüler up to 14 (Schüler I 10–11, II 12–14); J Sch / Jun, Jungschützen 15–17 and Junioren 18–20, M girls and J boys; Damen and Schützen 21–40; Damen Alt(ers) and Alters 41–50; Damen Sen(ioren) and Senioren 51–60; Sen(ioren) I 61–70 and II 71 and over, with their Damen classes; Behinderte I 18–50, II 51 and over. Klasse I–IV, as the KB defines them for its service arms: I 18–40, II 41–60, III 61–70, IV 71 and over.

How it is shot
Optional events · Service rifle · Precision course · Timed series · Skill event · Seniors · Gauging and ties
- Optional events
- Several of these events, lever action among them, are optional: not held at the German championship.BDS rule A 3.01; Teil Z, Anhang 1
- Service rifle
- A service rifle (DSG) is a repeater with a magazine of five or more, of a model introduced as standard by an army or police unit by 31 December 1965, or a replica, in original condition; single-loader conversions made before April 2003 also qualify.BDS rule L 14.01.7
- Precision course
- The precision programme is 15 shots in 15 minutes at district championships, two 10-shot series of 10 minutes at state championships and three at the German championship, after any number of sighters within 5 minutes.BDS rules L 2.04 and L 2.06
- Timed series
- The timed series (Zeitserie) is 30 shots at state and German championships: two 5-shot series in 40 seconds, two in 30 and two in 20, the rifle visibly out of the shoulder before 'fire' and after 'stop'; lower championships may halve it.BDS rules L 3.03 and L 3.04
- Skill event
- The skill event (Fertigkeit) is three 10-shot series of 40 seconds each, shot prone from a bipod, including a magazine change with at least one shot before it and two after; a series without the change scores zero.BDS rules L 5.02, L 5.04, L 5.08 and L 14.08.6
- Seniors
- Shooters who are 55 or older at the start of the sport year may shoot seated on a chair without backrest instead of prone, where the range approval allows it; they say which when entering a championship.BDS rule L 14.08.1
- Gauging and ties
- A hit takes the higher ring when it visibly touches the dividing line; in doubt, approved overlays with printed calibre diameters may be used. Ties go to the most 10s, then the most inner tens, then the most 9s, 8s, 7s and so on.BDS rules A 9.02 and A 9.03

Training on paper? Photograph a card and the Shooter app finds the holes and scores them by these rings: every shot, your inner tens, the series total, your group’s size and centre. Holes merged? Add, move or remove a shot. Every card joins your training log, so drift shows up over time.
Scored with AI for now, which needs internet and your permission to upload the photo to an AI service in the US. Some AI scans may be free while we collect photos of this target; then each uses an AI credit (sold in packs in the app). Scoring by hand is free.
