DFS 100m Rifle target
DFS's youth classes from age 10, its .22 classes SK1 and SK2, its hunter class and its veterans from 65 shoot their range programme on this twin card, and the district team matches for youth and veterans are shot on it too. The hunter class may use rifles of up to 8 mm calibre, with a telescopic or red-dot sight of up to 12×. The same card is also used as the DFS 100m Pyramide (DFS, Norway).

DFS badges
DFS clubs record their badge shoots in DFS’s online system, and Dugleiksmerket badges are ordered through the regional associations (samlag). Seniors and veterans pay for their own badges, stars, statuette and dish; the diploma is free. Meeting the Dugleiksmerket’s gold requirements 25 times earns a dish and 50 times DFS’s shield, and Skytterboka’s table of gold years runs to 75.

NAIS-medaljen (NSF)
NAIS medal (NSF)
The NAIS medal was instituted in 1939 as the army-rifle medal of NAIS, the Norwegian branch of the International Shooting Union. Its rules were much simplified in 1990, with slightly higher scores for the better precision rifles, and pistol, clay and running target joined the programme in 1994. NAIS results are not reported to NSF: the organiser records and keeps them on trust.
Shot as a NAIS shoot of its own, run by a Forsvaret unit or a DFS or NSF club; the organiser’s signed result counts. The badges may be won in any order; the medals from the year after the gilt-badge score, the gilt medal after the silver, with one counting result per medal level a year. The recruit badge, for shooters who turn 16 or younger in the year, is won once. Bronze, silver and gilt enamel stars follow the gilt medal, each for its score in three different years, then a statuette.

- Classes
- At 100 m shoot the youth classes NU, R, ER, J and EJ (aged 10 to 19), the .22 classes SK1 and SK2, the hunter class and the veterans V65 and V75. ER and J may use .22 LR or reduced-load 6.5×55.DFS table 7.100
- Course and positions
- In the main match (5 shots in 2 minutes, 5 in 3, 5 in 2, 10 in 3), NU, R, ER, SK1, V65 and V75 shoot prone; J and SK2 kneel for series 2 and six shots of series 4; EJ shoots all three positions.DFS table 11.110.b
- Final
- At national, regional and samlag meetings a 10-shot prone final follows the 25 shots: 2 minutes for R, ER, J and V65, 3 for V75, 75 seconds for EJ. NU, SK1, SK2 and the hunter class have no final.DFS rule 11.110 and table 11.110.b
- Hunter class
- The hunter class shoots 15 shots — three series of 3, then 6 — prone or in the sitting hunter position, with rifles of up to 8 mm calibre and open or diopter sights or a telescopic or red-dot sight of at most 12×.DFS table 11.110.b; rules 6.190, 6.192 and 8.604

- Gauging
- A gauge settles the number of shots and doubtful values; outdoors every DFS gauge, the .22 one too, has an 8 mm flange, and a shot counts inside a dividing line its flange touches.DFS rules 9.230.11 and 9.230.12
- Ties
- Ties go to the most inner tens, then tens, nines and so on over the 25 shots; then to the higher last series, then its inner tens, tens and so on; then the series before, and so on.DFS rules 10.401 and 10.402 a

Training on paper? Photograph a card and the Shooter app finds the holes and scores them by these rings: every shot, your inner tens, the series total, your group’s size and centre. Holes merged? Add, move or remove a shot. Every card joins your training log, so drift shows up over time.
Scored with AI for now, which needs internet and your permission to upload the photo to an AI service in the US. Some AI scans may be free while we collect photos of this target; then each uses an AI credit (sold in packs in the app). Scoring by hand is free.
