UFOLEP 25m Pistol target
UFOLEP’s own card, the ISSF C 50 reduced to this distance: the target of the single-shot “Libre” pistol event of its summer national championship and of the muzzle-loading carbine in the black-powder events of its summer criterium. Pistol shooters are placed in divisions by their average, and a hole must cut a ring line to score the higher ring; touching it is not enough. The same card is also used as the NSF Coltskive Pistol (NSF, Norway).

How it is shot
Libre class · Course · Pistol · Licences · Black powder · Gauging · Ties
- Libre class
- At UFOLEP’s summer national championship this is the card of the 25 m “Libre” event: .22 arms loaded with one round, adults 17 and over, three divisions by last season’s average (D1 240 and up, D3 below 215); youths may not be up-classed.UFOLEP RCN 2) a) and II
- Course
- The Libre match is 30 precision shots in six 5-shot series, 5 minutes per series, after unlimited sighting shots in 5 minutes; the shooting time, sighters included, is one hour.UFOLEP chapter XII
- Pistol
- Libre allows a rimfire pistol or revolver loaded with one cartridge, barrel length free; the grip may not extend past the wrist, which stays visibly free of support. Optical, laser and electronic sights and jacketed bullets are banned; lead bullets are allowed.UFOLEP chapter XII
- Licences
- To shoot at 25 m, UFOLEP shooters must show their UFOLEP licence and the licence of the delegated federation; from 17 to 21, the gun’s holder or a named representative must also be present. A borrowed gun needs its owner’s or club’s written consent.UFOLEP chapter XII, “Réglementation du tir à 25 m”
- Black powder
- The same card serves UFOLEP’s 25 m black-powder event for the single-shot muzzle-loading rifled carbine: three 5-shot series, the cards changed and checked after each, and only the 4 best hits of each series count.UFOLEP rules 14.5 and 14.7
- Gauging
- A hole that cuts a ring line scores the higher ring, but the line must be broken: a bullet that only touches it at a tangent scores the lower. In a dispute, three officials decide with an approved gauge, 5.6 mm at 25 m.UFOLEP rules 19.3 to 19.6
- Ties
- Ties for the top three go to the third 10-shot series, then the second and the first, then the most 10s, 9s, 8s…, then the most inner tens; from 4th place, series count back from the last. Perfect scores stay tied.UFOLEP rules 20.1 to 20.3

The card
- Card
- UFOLEP names this card the “Carton UFOLEP (cible C 50 réduite à 25 m)”: its own reduction of the C 50 for 25 m. UFOLEP’s Standard 25 m pistol event uses the full-size ISSF 25 m card instead.UFOLEP rule 3.2

Training on paper? Photograph a card and the Shooter app finds the holes and scores them by these rings: every shot, your inner tens, the series total, your group’s size and centre. Holes merged? Add, move or remove a shot. Every card joins your training log, so drift shows up over time.
Scored with AI for now, which needs internet and your permission to upload the photo to an AI service in the US. Some AI scans may be free while we collect photos of this target; then each uses an AI credit (sold in packs in the app). Scoring by hand is free.
